Banrock Station Cabernet Merlot 2005

Banrock Station
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot 2005
$10
Riverland

I tasted a whole bunch of Banrock wines when we stopped there driving back to Adelaide from Mildura. Whilst the food was pretty average, the wine was surprisingly ok -considering the price and the availability of the wine (i feel like Banrock wines are a mass produced and therefore lack they should lack quality).
This is relatively smooth, no burn or tartness in the flavour. There is a nice fruity flavour but it lacks any type of complexity, it has a herbval quality which dulls the flavour. It does sit in the mouth nicely and finishes ok, more quietly than cleanly.

A very inoffensive wine.

6/10
