Angoves
Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
$10
Riverland, Coonwarra, Limestone Coast
Needed a lot of air to become drinkable, a very full wine but with a very narrow range of flavours that finished really quickly but cleanly. A casual cabernet to drink around the house for no occassion - if you are desperate for a really standard wine with the boring cheap wine taste (bit of oak, bit of burn, bit of fruit, bit of meh).
And what's the deal with Angove's having like 20 different wine brands? To me that's crazy marketing and they kind of lose cred as wine makers (in respect to my romantic notions of wine), especially with the whole PTY LTD in the HTML title.
