Heartland Viognior Pinot Gris 2006

Heartland
Viognior Pinot Gris
$18
Langhorne Creek

I've only started drinking white wines recently, i tend to lean towards Pinot gris/griglio which is a sweeter wine but clean.
This wine was enjoyed with chinese food, probably not a great match, but i never know what to drink with chinese food. The viognier gives a light lemony taste that dances on the tongue, but the pinot G cools it down with a relatively fuller/deeper fruit flavour. Its a smooth wine, with a nice high note supported by a solid mid level body.

9/10
